The choice to use a Gyro-Ball as the main object for this poster was made for two reasons. The first one is a metaphorical one and it is due to its architectural characteristics. The inner gyroscope rotates around itself but also around the surrounding eroded spheres axis. The temporal progress of the Zeitgeist behaves in a similar way. Even though the Zeitgeist is bound to the present and strives towards the future there seems to be a second timeline attached to it, one that is rooted in the past. This explains the everlasting quotation of past aesthetics which appear in a new contemporary guise. The second refers to exactly that. Gyro-Balls have been a pop-cultural phenomenon of the past, similar to the fidget spinner nowadays, but the polished appearance as a hyper-real rendering transforms it into a futuristic object.
